Well it was merely a suggestion but im glad it's come into effect.

Request a Shot, sounds rather simple, what else could it possibly be called? I've given some rookies the forum link, and we can expect some newcomers, I just dont want them to think, ill just request a shot on say 15 without providing a first shot or even looking for one.

It's not gonna work like that, I was thinkng more along the lines if you have found a nice first shot, and can't find a good 2nd, or think it can be a really good shot with the help with the help of others, you post it there.

But then again, Request A shout sounds allright.

Another thing, for the Hot or Not Forum, are members allowed to start there own topics? Keeping the same convention that you have used [player] [date] [hole] for the titles, and posting the images? Because I've got a few i wanted to post..

I was going to but wasn't sure if the polling option would come about because I wasn't a mod or something and if it didn't there was no way for me to delete it, so are we allowed? or you would prefer to continue doing it for everyone?

go for it. in fact, it'd take a lot of time and effort off my hands. when you're in the hot or not section, just click on start a new topic. below the text box, you'll see a radio button that says, "attach a poll." just click yes. polls will only work at the beginning of each poll. Polls do not work as a reply. ;) all i do is copy & paste the submitter's avatar and name, then copy & paste the shot stored in online storage space. voila. easy. if you want to add scripting, just click the <> symbol in the top toolbar, as well.

only reason i'd like to change the name of 'request a shot' is so it won't be confused with...you're right, newbies posting and asking, "how do i hole in one 3?" it's a bit misleading, the title. does anyone have a good title we can use? anybody?

Yes KS,request a shot its based on giving away a cool first shot when the player who founded couldnt(yet)find a decent second shot,read the "forum description",about the rest..i havent check with Guzman yet but im pretty sure you can start any topics you want.

And about posting the images...im not sure but so far he's the one who does it and i dont see a reason for anyone else to do it,but you can send which ever shot you'll like to be posted and,as he's been doing it so far..it'll be posted as soon as possible.

I hope im answering your question right because im not really sure about what you meant when you said that you got ideas,i thought it was clear that all (known)members can start a topic...

PS:being a mod doesnt mean anything(in my case),im a mod because Guzman was kind enough to let me be one but i suck at what i do,lol,so every member can come up with ideas for the forum and start new topics,i just got the "moderator"title but im just one of the gang,...its guzman running the forum here.

and this goes for everyone....you can start new topics to your heart's content. and this isn't to say that i won't stop posting shots for everybody. i will continue to do so happily :) if you do it, just make it nice looking. in addition, anyone who needs an avatar or anything, please ask, and i'll see what i can do to help out. i'm here to serve. this is my first priority as admin. thanks.

perhaps we can start our own terminology....

say, we use for slang the first shot of any given hole "the tee off" and the second shot of any hole "the sinker"

going with that line...we could rename it with a pun, "Sink or Swim"

find the sinker or swim...actually that's kinda goofy. but maybe something like that?

I actually think that is a brilliant idea.

The cliche sink or swim refers to failing or succedding, and really thats what this topic will be about, i like it.

Are they supossed to share(post)the second shot since they got the first from another player?

If so i think it could also be called"2nd takes the gold",or"finish what i started"lmao

you're right until i thought about it more...

yes, sink or swim means, succeed or fail.

but the way i want to use it would entail sinking as succeeding and swimming as failing...

unless someone has a slant to justify the perversion of the phrase's meaning...

I thought of that cuz they wont be swimming alone,lol,its a follow up shot that its needed for a shot that someone else had founded,so its hard to aproach the issue not leaving the player who actually gave the other player something to look for...behind.
